This year’s competition will have various components with participants able to compete both individually and in school teams.

This year’s competition will have various components with participants able to compete both individually and in school teams.
Individual Competition:
Students from years 7 to 12 are invited to make a personal submission in response to the following statement.
Belief is both light and strength. One who attains true belief can challenge the universe.
The individual submissions can be made in one of the following formats:
- Spoken word poetry
- Short video (fictional/non-fictional)
- Speech
The duration of the individual submission must range between two to three minutes. The submission must be in the form of a video recording with the producer of the work delivering the speech or the poetic performance themselves. The video recording must be of high visual and audio quality.
Submissions will be assessed based on their originality, quality of the content, quality of the production, authenticity, and relevance to modern life.
Team Competition:
Participating schools are required to register a group of three year 10 students who will work as a team to prepare an engaging and interactive presentation responding to the following statement.
Minds should be enlightened with science, and hearts need to be illuminated with religion.
Teams will deliver their presentations in front of a panel of judges and an audience during the competition day.
Requirements for the presentation
- Presentation can be a PowerPoint, Prezi, or a similar format.
- Duration of the presentation must range between five to six minutes.
- Every member of the team must actively present during the presentation.
Presentations will be assessed based on their originality, authenticity, structure, relevance to modern life, and engagement of the audience.
