About AUF

AUF was founded in 2012 by the following foundations in 5 different states  in order to advance cooperation and professional development activities between its members.

Australian Universal Federation of Education and Culture (AUF)’s mission is to provide professional advice, services and leadership for its members. 

Our purpose is to provide a range of high quality professional services and support to our members in a range of areas, including but not limited to;

  • employment and recruitment;
  • professional development;
  • government policy and regulations;
  • school governance, evaluation and review;
  • federal grants and more

We advocate for the interests of, and in conjunction with our Members at all times.

Australian Universal Federation of Education and Culture’s (AUF) vision is to be an essential national non-profit organisation that is a source of innovative professional solutions for its members which enables them to make effective contributions to wider Australian society in terms promoting social cohesion and mutual respect through advancing education and culture. 

Objectives of AUF

  1. To promote and protect the separate and collective interests of Members.
  2. To provide professional leadership, services and resources for the Members.
  3. To provide professional advice to the Members in industrial and legal matters.
  4. To improve the industrial and statutory rights and benefits of Members.
  5. To act on behalf of, in the interests of, and in conjunction, with the Members at all times.
  6. To advocate for and represent the interests and needs of Members.
  7. To liaise with state and federal governments and other peak bodies to represent the views and needs of the Members.
  8. To provide a range of high quality professional services and support to Members in a range of areas, including but not limited to;
    • employment and recruitment;
    • professional development;
    • government policy and regulations;
    • school governance, evaluation and review;
    • federal grants.
  9. To affiliate, amalgamate, enter into any agreement with or otherwise co-operate with or assist any other state-wide, national and international Organisation, Association, Institution or Group in pursuit of these objects.
  10. To act as an agent for and on behalf of Members and non-members when requested in relation to employment matters.
  11. To promote the Australian federal and state governments’ relevant policies to Members.
  12. To oversee the general operations of the Members and suggest recommendations to improve quality.
  13. To develop plans and strategies to improve efficiency and productivity of the Members.
  14. To apply the funds, property and capacity of the Federation towards the fulfilment and achievement of the objects.
  15. To act as an agent for and on behalf of Members and non-members in a manner consistent with these objects and the Rules and in the interests of Members and to do all things necessary and incidental thereto.
  16. To do any things incidental to or conductive to the carrying out of any of the objects as are necessary, expedient, desirable or advisable.
  17. None of these objects is to be read in such a way as to limit any other of these objects.

AUF is a non-profit organisation governed on principles of honesty, transparency and respect. AUF is committed to the highest standards of ethical behaviour in its interaction with its members and other organisations.
