2016 Convention Information

The AUF 2016 Convention hosted over 200 educators from member organisations.

The Convention provided a range of professional development opportunities for all member staff. The keynote speaker Steve Francis shared valuable insights and advise as well as other presenters who gave workshops on different aspects of education. Evaluation of the past year, making plans for the upcoming year, sharing the experiences between the teachers of different schools and states were some other outcomes of the Convention.

Guest speakers enriched the program with their motivational and educational talks. As the participants enjoyed networking with other school staff, the bonds were strengthened and new friendships were established.

AUF 2015 ANNUAL CONVENTION

The Australian Universal Federation of Education and Culture (AUF) held its 4th Annual Convention from 29 September to 3 October in Sydney.

AUF extends thanks to Amity College for providing facilities to host such a large scale event and all participants for taking part in this exciting program.

2014 Annual Convention

2014 AUF Annual Convention was held between 28 September and 1 October  2014, at Amity College Prestons Campus in Sydney. There were more than 200 members in total who participated in the intensive 4-day program.

This years international guest speaker was Mustafa Yimaz academic, author and theologian. Dan Haesler, educator, writer and speaker was the key note speaker.

The daily program started at 8:00 and concluded each evening at 6:00 pm with dinner.

First time this year, participants were given the option to choose from the parallel PD sessions offered. There were total of 20 such presentations all from the teachers of AUF members.

It was a great experience for teachers from all five states to sit together to discuss and brainstorm common issues. Apart from academic discussions, moral values, social matters as well as other common issues were also discussed in the various workshops.

AUF would like to thank Galaxy Foundation and Amity College for providing accommodation, transport, venue, food and childcare for all our interstate members. Without their dedicated staff, it would have been hard to imagine organising such a large scale program.

2013 Annual Convention

AUF has organised its annual convention for all its members between 30 September and 4 October in Melbourne. There were more than 250 members in total who participated in the intensive 5-day program. Selimiye Foundation and Serenity Foundation hosted this year’s convention. There were participants from NSW, Western and South Australia, Queensland as well as Victoria. Sirius College Eastmeadows Campus were used for the various lectures and workshops during the program.

The daily program started at 8:00 am with breakfast. There were five 75-minute workshop sessions everyday except the last day. The program concluded each evening at 6:00 pm with dinner. It was a great experience for teachers from all five states to sit together to discuss and brainstorm common issues.

Apart from academic discussions, moral values, social matters as well as other common issues were also discussed in the various workshops. There were more than 250 participants from 5 states, more than 120 children to care for and total of more than 400 people.
